Brandon Lozza (handles and role in the 2010 campaign)

Handles

Lozza used ender2070 on the Phoronix forum and on identi.ca, @atlasdx on Twitter, boycottlefty (the author name on boycottlefty.wordpress.com, home of his “Mono Rangers” comic), and admin on his own blog pwnage.ca. Schlesinger’s February 2010 blog names the aliases and the blog:

As you’ve seen just this past week, Brandon Lozza (posting on identi.ca as “@ender2070” and Twitter as “@atlasdx”)…

On his blog at pwnage.ca, Lozza has forged fabricated comments in my name, in spite of my being prominently listed on the site as a “banned poster”.

That Lozza is ender2070 is taken as established (user, this session); Schlesinger independently ties ender2070, boycottlefty, and the Brampton identity together (per Schlesinger).

Style

Lozza is clipped and legalistic, arguing copyright, “moral rights,” and process:

Why don’t you come to Brampton then? Speaking of your ongoing copyright infringement You know Canada has moral rights clauses in its copyright act?

The judge will have a hard time finding the word “irrevocable” in any of the permission you were given.

A recurring mechanical tell on his blog is “it’s” for “its”:

It just cares about using Linux as a kernel so they can exploit it’s massive hardware database

Method: pseudo-legal warfare and reputational framing

Lozza’s weapon was copyright: a back-and-forth of DMCA takedowns and counter-notices over an email he first let Schlesinger publish and then tried to retract, plus his “Mono Rangers” parody comic. In his own framing:

Within hours Lefty has taken down our satirical/parody comic with a harassing DMCA takedown notice. We will be sending a counter notice. Update: Images now hosted in Soviet Russia.

Schlesinger’s account attributes the comic, the defaced photos, the drug-addict smear, and outreach to his employer and family to Lozza (the capture redacts Lozza’s legal name):

Since that time, Mr. [Name redacted] has used the IDs “ender2070” (now deleted) and “boycottlefty” to harass and defame me, sending messages claiming that I’m a drug addict and a pedophile. Further, he carried through with his previous intention and put up a blog at boycottlefty.wordpress.com with a defamatory “comic strip” titled “Mono Rangers”, in which he not only infringed the copyright of the same photograph which had been at issue earlier, but a second photograph (taken by professional James Duncan Davidson) of me, both defaced, and again suggesting that I was a drug addict.

…defamatory emails to various third-parties whose email addresses he’s collected from various press releases related to my employment, as well being as a participant in the criminal harassment of my family.

Per Schlesinger, Lozza also posed as a journalist, forged comments in his name on pwnage.ca, and publicly branded him a drug addict, pedophile, pornographer, and cannibal.

Working with sandAlfoan, and amplification

Lozza ran the respectable legal front while sandAlfoan supplied the raw defamation, including in the comments of Lozza’s own boycottlefty blog (as ZQB). Schlesinger addressed Lozza (ender2070) and named sandAlfoan as his “accomplice”:

the various lies and defamations from your accomplice, MICHAEL RUDRA NATH/JASON CHRISTOPHER HUGHES and you, [Name redacted]

The “Schlesinger called Stallman a rapist” line was amplified through Roy Schestowitz’s Boycott Novell blog (“Defamed by ACCESS Employee,” February 2010), whose link Schlesianer dropped into the thread; Lozza’s blog was aligned with Schestowitz at the time. Years later Lozza turned on Schestowitz, filing human-rights complaints against his Techrights and Tux Machines (see the Lozza timeline).

A recurring pattern of removal

Across more than a decade the material documenting this conduct keeps vanishing from the public web, which is why this record relies on archived copies.

pwnage.ca, scrubbed (his own site, ongoing). In 2010 the blog ran posts such as “Freedom Haters Back ‘on Board’”:

The freedom haters are back and are behind a proxy organization which follows the same goals.

The site is still live but, checked this session, now carries only generic filler:

Phoronix forum pages, deleted (2024). The thread pages cited throughout were removed from Phoronix and preserved by Techrights, which attributed the deletion to Lozza (per Techrights):

N OT to our surprise, Lozza sent messages to Phoronix (no other reasonable explanation) to wipe out evidence of what happened 14 years ago. We’ve thankfully backed up those pages…

legalbeaver.ca, pulled from the Internet Archive (2024), and the Brandon-to-Britney name change, both per the Lozza timeline:

Lozza attempted to obfuscate this record starting some time in late September of 2024, by getting legalbeaver.ca pulled off of archive.org

some time between 2016 and 2018, changed name to Britney Lozza which resulted in an apparent obfuscation of the documented history of defamatory, harassing behaviours, and “litigation patterns”.

(The boycottlefty blog is also gone, but WordPress records that as a terms-of-service suspension, so it is not shown to be Lozza’s own doing.)
